Gaskets

Gaskets are critical mechanical sealing components used to seal the gap between two mating surfaces in various industrial systems.Their primary function is to prevent the leakage of fluids(liquids,gases,oils,chemicals)and block the entry of external impurities,ensuring the integrity and safety of the system during operation.

Available in a variety of materials to suit different working conditions,gaskets can be divided into non-metallic,metallic and composite types.Non-metallic gaskets(e.g.,rubber,PTFE,flexible graphite)are suitable for low-pressure and normal-temperature environments.Metallic gaskets(e.g.,carbon steel,stainless steel,nickel-based alloys)are designed for high-temperature and high-pressure scenarios.Composite gaskets(e.g.,spiral-wound gaskets,metal-clad gaskets)combine the advantages of both,offering excellent elasticity and strength.

Common types include flat gaskets,spiral-wound gaskets,metal ring joint(RTJ)gaskets,O-rings,and cylinder head gaskets.Each type is tailored to specific applications,such as flanges in petrochemical plants,valves in power systems,engines in automotive industry,and pipelines in water supply projects.
