Common carbon steel grades for reducers include A105,A234 WPB,and A420 WPL6,selected based on the system’s pressure,temperature,and fluid properties.These grades offer good toughness and weldability,adapting to high-pressure and medium-temperature working environments(usually up to 450°C),which is superior to non-metallic reducers in industrial scenarios.

Connection methods of carbon steel reducers match the connected pipes:Butt Weld(BW)for large-diameter(DN50-DN800)and high-pressure industrial pipelines;Threaded(NPT/BSP)for small-bore,low-to-medium pressure systems;and Flanged connection for easy disassembly and maintenance,suitable for pipelines requiring frequent inspection.
