Spiral Steel Pipe

Spiral steel pipe(also known as spiral welded pipe,SSAW pipe,or SAWH pipe)is a type of large-diameter welded steel pipe.It is manufactured by rolling steel coil into a spiral shape at a specific helix angle,then continuously welding the helical seam via double-sided submerged arc welding.

1.Production Process

Raw material preparation:Hot-rolled steel coils,welding wires,and flux undergo strict physical and chemical inspections.

Strip processing:The strip is leveled,trimmed,planed,cleaned,and pre-bent.

Spiral forming:The strip is rolled into a tubular shape at a helix angle using forming rolls.

Welding:Internal and external seams are welded via automatic double-wire submerged arc welding.

Cutting&finishing:Pipes are cut to fixed lengths(6–12m),straightened,and deburred.

Quality inspection:Hydrostatic testing,ultrasonic testing(UT),X-ray inspection,and dimensional checks are performed.
